sooooo excited!!! you got to see Anne’s house! even though her bedroom is much smaller than what i imagined 😛 the beach is exactly that beach though!!! it’s amazing!!! did you get to see mrs. lynd’s house or the lake of shining waters or the white way of delight?
Amanda, yes, a girl-trip to Anne-land would be delightful! Whomever conceptualized the Anne National Historic Site did it with such care and vision, that she/he captured the “sense” of Anne of Green Gables in the setting. I thought it was well done and Lucy Maud would be proud.
Angela, you would LOVE Anne’s house and the entire exhibit! Rachel Lynde’s house was not included but we did see the Lake of Shinig Waters, which is actually located at L.M.’s grandparents’ home. It’s a little pond that sits between the house and the roadside. No, I couldn’t find the White Way of Delight but there is so much scope for the imagination there, I think it was close by.

Love Anne! Glad you finally got to see it. Perhaps someday, we can explore it together and spare Dad of the repeat!:)
